Maxwell's equations are solved in the vacuum space-time of a slowly rotating black hole with a uniform magnetic field aligned at an angle gamma to the rotation axis as boundary condition far from the black hole. The solution is used to find the change of the angular momentum of the black hole, with the component perpendicular to the field found to decrease exponentially with time, while the component parallel to the field remained constant. The rotation axis of the black hole thus becomes aligned with the magnetic field.
