Current research in infrared astronomy is briefly reviewed with
attention given to such projects as the IRAS infrared survey satellite
and the UK infrared telescope on the summit of Mauna Kea. Some infrared
astronomical data are examined; consideration is given to stellar
evolution and the structure of Seyfert galaxies.
