A stellar model is evolved from the zero-age main sequence to the red-giant branch. Five different tracks have been obtained, one with constant G (for comparison) and four with a combination of two values of the age of the universe and two exponents of the dependence of G on the time. One of these exponents represents a mild decrease of G with time (Brans-Dicke cosmology) and the other a strong decrease of G with time (Hoyle-Narlikar cosmology or Dirac's theory with no change in the mass of the model). The value of the age of the universe is found to be of great importance in the shape of the evolutionary track and the rate of evolution.
