A sample of 541 late-type southern spiral galaxies with B, R photometric data and H I radio data is used to conduct a test to determine the c(A) and c(L) coefficients, which correct the diameters and luminosities of galaxies for the luminosity effect. The results confirm both an increase in the galactic diameter (c(L) is approximately equal to 0.2) and significant internal absorption (about 1.1 mag) in the galaxy due to the inclination effect (isophote of 25 mag/sq arcsec in the B band). Consideration of the morphological membership of galaxies shows a certain dependence of absorption on galaxy type.
