Radio Polarimeters, Solar Radio Radiation: Maps

Scientific paper

The authors present the description and the analysis of innovations as well as of the apparatus and the programme elaborations made recently for the four-wavelengths polarimeter of the 22-m radio telescope of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. The diagnostic potentialities of the complex and the database of observations made during 1990 - 1996 are described. The results of observations at λλ3.5, 2.8, 2.3, and 2.0 cm on 1991 July 22 are illustrated by solar radio maps and temporal profiles of precursors of the strong radio burst. The peculiarities of the microwave emission of an active region near the limb of the Sun are considered.
