Linear and nonlinear mixture models are here applied to Clementine UV-VIS multispectral data on the mare-highland boundaries of the moon. Attention is given to the magnitude of material transport across these boundaries; the results obtained are compared, and indicate that there are fundamentally different interpretations of mixing processes between the linear and nonlinear solutions.
