We present a study of the H-alpha jet emission lines in the spectrum of the microquasar SS 433. We use time-series optical spectroscopy to identify individual bullets in the jets, which are then compared to the standard kinematic model. Often, the emission lines are not deconvolved, leading to data which do not provide an accurate test of the theoretical models. Correctly identifying individual bullets over a number of consecutive nights allows us to better quantify any deviations from the kinematic model.
