The ICRS/ICRF is one of the three main pillars of the International Earth Rotation Service (IERS) providing the celestial reference for earth rotation studies and being the fundamental astrometric reference in astronomy. The International VLBI Service for Geodesy and Astrometry (IVS) as an IERS Technique Centre and the ICRS Centre are important components of the IERS.
The ICRS is well represented in the IERS Information System. The standards for the ICRF are given in the IERS Conventions. The IVS and the ICRS Centre report on their activities in the IERS Annual Reports. Both have also their own information systems including Web sites and publications. There are several IERS Technical Notes devoted to the ICRS/ICRF. Rapid information is distributed by IERS Messages. All publications which appeared since 2001 are available online. The central IERS Web site (www.iers.org) maintained by the IERS Central Bureau provides general information on the IVS and the ICRS Centre as well as meta information on IERS products including the ICRS and the ICRF. In the future this meta information will be organized in the form of a data base giving also direct access to the IERS products.
