Results are reported for six separate spectroscopic observations of the nonmagnetic hot white dwarf G200-39. The observations are found not to suggest any substantial variability in the spectrum of G200-39. The observed spectrum is shown to originate from a single white dwarf, and the results are compared with model atmospheres. An effective temperature of about 15,000 K is estimated, along with log g = 8 and a He/H number-density ratio of approximately 4000. It is argued that G200-39 is not composite, that this star lacks a magnetic field stronger than 500,000 G, and that the atmosphere is probably not stratified with a pure hydrogen upper layer. Spectroscopic discriminants for DBA stars are considered, and characteristics of known white dwarfs with intermediate He/H number-density ratios are discussed.
