This paper presents the radial surface density distributions of neutral hydrogen in 36 spiral galaxies in the Virgo Cluster area. The morphological types of the galaxies vary from Sa to Scd ; the projected distances to M87 range from 1.1 to 12.4 degrees. The observational results on which this paper is based have been presented in two earlier papers in this series, describing two- and one-dimensional HI-observations made with the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope. An iterative scheme was used to derive for each galaxy the distribution of the HI surface density from the observed one- or two-dimensional brightness distribution. This paper describes this technique and presents the surface density distributions in the form of an atlas. For a number of galaxies the HI surface density decreases exponentially with radius in the outer regions ; in a few galaxies near the centre of the cluster the HI surface density seems to decline more sharply, with the possible existence of a cutoff in the distribution. Also, a number of galaxies show a significant difference between the extent of the HI on the eastern and western sides.
