Photometric variability in the He-strong star HD96446 has been detected. Fourier analysis of 10 nights of observations spanning three years from two observatories shows a period close to 0.85 d. This is interpreted as the star's rotation period, since it is compatible with time scales of rotation inferred for other He-strong variables and is consistent with all the available magnetic measurements of HD96446. The photometric residuals show evidence for more rapid variability with a period near 6.2 h, which remained coherent during three years.
