Gravitational fields generated by global monopoles are discussed. It is shown that in the case of one isotopic vector scalar field, a global monopole at rest practically does not generate a gravitational field. However, in the case of several scalar fields, configurations are possible which lead to gravitational fields with nontrivial properties, such as gravitational dipoles. These fields can be substantial on cosmological scales.
