The central part of M15 was investigated in a search for the gravitational-focusing effect. The existence of this effect is confirmed by a comparison of the value of the variance of the stellar brightness of the central part of the cluster (where the probability of the effect is greatest) with that in a part removed from the center. The maximum likelihood method is used to estimate the value of the variance.
