Analysis of the data of ionospheric absorption of radio waves of vertical sounding, rocket measurement, and optical observations from onboard the Salyut-6 spacecraft permits advancing the suggestion that in a number of cases the conditions favorable for the appearance of noctilucent clouds (an extremely low temperature of the mesopause-lower thermosphere) can develop not only at middle and high latitudes but also at equatorial latitudes.
