The interpretation of the characteristics of the geometrical figure and gravitational field of the moon is discussed. A two-layer model is used to explain the differences in the position and orientation of the geometrical figure and the selenoid. Values for the first and second harmonic coefficients of the lunar gravitational field and topography are presented.
