Separated orthopyroxene clasts or collections of coarse orthopyroxene fragments were analyzed by instrumented neutron activation analysis and electron microprobe analysis to obtain compositional data on eighteen of the twenty-four known diogenites. Matrix material or whole-rock samples from several diogenites have also been analyzed for comparison purposes. Data for fifteen of the diogenites are reported. The discussion covers a description of the samples and analytical methods, petrology and mineral compositions, and geochemistry.
