We compute the galaxy pair fraction and major merger rate from Lyman break galaxies, selected as BVi'-band dropouts from the Hubble Ultra Deep Field and the Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey Fields. From these flux-limited surveys, we construct a volume-limited sample of galaxies with -25.0
