The properties of the High Amplitude Delta Scuti stars (HADS) are revisited on the basis of the new results obtained from the light curves available in the OGLE-I database. The Fourier decomposition of that sample allowed us to give a clear description of the light curve progressions and a quantitative criterion to separate HADS from RRc stars, especially in the critical region around P=0.20 d. The peculiarities of the HADS stars previously claimed in the literature are examined.
