The disparity between the slopes of log N-log S curves indicating the differential counts of radio sources at frequencies of hundreds of MHz in observations and those determined from models of the Universe is investigated analytically. Typical curves are shown, and it is demonstrated that the slope in the region of strong flux density is explained by placing a constraint on flux density and spectral-index spreading.
