The sensors, mechanical structure, and control electronics of the ROSAT satellite and its two telescopes are discussed. Data on the field of vision, receiving surface, energy range, and resolution of the telescopes are given along with information on focal instrumentation requirements and data on that instrumentation and on the focal plane detectors. Diagrams of the instrumentation are shown.
