The FIRST Flat Spectrum Sample (FFSS) is a deep radio-selected sample,
unbiased with respect to X-ray emission. It is designed to enable us to
determine the true census of the different types of blazars, resolving a
long-standing uncertainty, and the first step towards understanding how
Nature makes jets.
