Scientific paper

A mathematical model for a radiative cooling system is presented which can be used to analyze the cooling efficiency of the TV photodetectors aboard the Vega spacecraft. The calculated values of the system's equilibrium temperature are within the limits of the preservation of the photodetectors' operating capacity upon irradiation of the radiative heat-exchanger surface at solar-radiation incidence angles of up to 5 deg.
