A multi-method image processing of the VLBI observation of the radio galaxy 3C390.3 at 6 cm has been tried to identify discernible components in the faint parsec-scale jet of the source at epoch 1989.29. On the basis of excellently consistent results obtained from four packages and model fitting, the authors can compare them with 6-cm maps obtained previously, including both published and unpublished results. Curvature of the jet and an explicit counter jet are probably revealed in the processing. The superluminal motion of the knots in the jet is reconfirmed by the comparison.
