The daytime F-scattering phenomenon was observed in the analysis of vertical-sounding ionograms obtained at the Moscow station. A comparative analysis is made of vertical electron density profiles and height scales for two days, Jan. 24, 1975, on which the F-scattering phenomenon was observed, and Jan. 23, 1975, on which it was not observed. The comparison made it possible to identify certain qualitative characteristics of daytime F-scattering.
