The yield from the Al-27(alpha, n)P-30 reaction from a thick Al-27 target is measured for alpha particles in the energy range from 3.04-3.66 eV, corresponding to stellar temperatures between 2.08 and 2.75 x 10 to the 9th K. The observed neutron yield curve is used to determine nucleosynthesis reaction rates. A value of 1.33 x 10 to the -22nd cu cm/mole/s is obtained and compared with results published elsewhere.
