A model for the evolution of the mass distribution of particles ejected from Comet Halley is proposed on the basis of results of space experiments and ground based observations of Halley meteor showers. It is shown that the mass index of dust particles varies in the evolutionary process, following the diffusion of particles in the interplanetary medium. This is caused by the different efficiency of physical factors affecting the motion of particles from different mass range. The model is applicable to other comets with showers.
