A review of observationally deduced values of the masses, mass-loss rates, temperatures, luminosities and element abundances for the most massive stars is presented. The stars considered range from 30 to over 100 solar masses. Further, their luminosities are 10 to the 5th to 10 to the 6.3 solar luminosities and they are of types O and B. The calculated quantities are compared with theoretical calculations and discussed in terms of present understanding of their evolutions.
