With the words of Neil Armstrong on the Moon in 1969, the awareness for science changed the city of Genk (Belgium). From then on, we worked to spread the news about science, more specifically on space travel and on the wonders of the universe. This led to building an observatory in 1984, a planetarium in 1991, and an auditorium in 1998. The future is bringing us still extra growth as we are going to be a gateway to the "Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen".
