The European Grid of Solar Observations (EGSO) is a Grid test-bed funded by the European Commission that will change the way users analyze solar data. The project is tackling one of the major hurdles in the analysis of solar data - identifying what data are available and retrieving those that are needed. To do this, EGSO is creating new forms of metadata that will speed the search process and for the first time provide the ability to select data based on features, phenomena and events.
The project completed its second year in March 2004 and is now on Release 4 of the code. Since the first release in September 2003, members of the solar community have been involved in product testing. The constant testing and feedback allows us to assure the usability of the system.
We will describe the capabilities of the latest release and discuss the scientific problems that it is currently able to address.
