The problem of superdense matter relates to the nature of white dwarf stars and neutron stars and also to the possible existence of hyperons and quarks. An equation of state is obtained for superdense matter in the neutron gas approximation based on Brueckner's theory (1962) and on the nuclear potential of Tamagaki (1968). A series of equations of state of nuclear matter is obtained on the basis of 24 different models of nuclear potential.
