Technology R&D for space applications can have an extremely stimulating important for European Industry both to maintain and improve its position in the global marketplace. However, the road from that first idea to an operational prototype is not always easy or without risk. ESA's Technology Transfer Programme therefore helps small and medium-sized enterprises to pursue novel ideas and bring them to market in a timely manner.
