The problem of radiation transfer is examined in a slowing-down region for the cylindrical geometry with diffuse reflectivity boundary condition and internal source. Synthetic kernels (Williams, 1979) are used to represent the slowing-down kernel. The functional equation for the radiation heat flux at the boundary is obtained in terms of angular flux and albedo of the corresponding source-free problem with an isotropic boundary condition. Numerical results were obtained given for the albedo and radiation heat flux using the bi-variation method.
