In relativistic electron-positron plasma subject to a longitudinally nonuniform, curvilinear magnetic field, electromagnetic waves may undergo substantial cyclotron damping - particularly the radio waves generated within the magnetosphere of a spinning pulsar. More careful analysis should be made of the escape from the magnetosphere of radiation generated by mechanisms operating in its interior.
