A physical based basin runoff model, BRUNO, in the form of a computer program, was devised to relate geological factors to the flow properties in the basin, and to analyze the basin response to precipitation. The model takes into account: (1) the basin's major physical structures especially river parameters; (2) the principle of morphohydrology which enables the computation of the channel width and roughness of the upstream drainage network; (3) the equation of continuity and the Manning equation, in order to integrate the stream flowing system and to calculate flow velocity in the channel.
