The dependence of the breakup energy of initially bound three-body systems on the angular momentum have been studied by means of numerical experiments. The authors derive fitting formulae for the energy distribution as a function of the angular momentum. An approximation for the escape probability of a given mass in case of unequal masses has also been derived. The fitted distribution functions have been compared with the authors' new, as well as with other, numerical experiments. A good agreement was noted.
