The effect of time transformations on the local truncation errors committed during numerical integration of the equations of motion of the two body problem is examined. For the general perturbed two body problem, the derivatives which illustrate the time-transformation effect are difficult to compute and depend on the particular perturbations considered. They are readily computed for the unperturbed problem, however, and are presented here for the case where the eccentricity is 0.9.
