An analysis is made of the effect of the geomagnetic field on the differential energy spectra of protons, neutrons, pions, and muons, as well as on the integral multiplicities of neutrons at various heights of the earth's atmosphere. It is shown that the geomagnetic field has a significant effect on secondary components of cosmic rays in the earth's atmosphere to energies of 100-150 MeV for nucleons and to energies of 300-400 MeV for muons. It is concluded that it is therefore necessary to take into account the geomagnetic-field effect in the calculation of integral multiplicities and coupling coefficients.
