A simulation method for the evolution of a large ensemble of particle
orbits in meteor streams is proposed. Allowance is made for first-order
secular perturbations and the Poynting effect. A model forming the
stream from the cometary nucleus is discussed. An estimate of the
Geminid age is of the order of 2000 yrs.
