Integral multiplicities and coupling coefficients of the general and ionizing cosmic-ray components are calculated for different depths and rigidities. The use of the earth's atmosphere as a spectrometer with the aid of the calculated quantities makes it possible to determine the energy spectra of cosmic-ray variations at the boundary of the atmosphere from stratospheric-sounding data.
