The possible existence of domains of shadow matter (regions of the strong suppression of ordinary matter and radiation) is posited in the framework of E8 X E8-prime superstring theory. For homogeneous gravity potential in the radiation-dominant state, the streaming of plasma and radiation into the shadow domain strongly affects the light-element abundances as well as the spectral and spatial characteristics of the thermal electromagnetic background. This makes it possible to impose stringent restrictions on the possible parameters of the small-scale domain structure of the shadow matter.
