The Draco Nebula is a faint bright nebula (Lynds 1965) at l ≈ 91°, b ≈ 38° which is probably spatially associated and collisionally interacting with H I high velocity clouds (HVCs). A limit of d > 800 pc for the distance to the nebula is derived from UBV photoelectric photometry of stars down to about 14.5 mag in V. Combining this with the upper limit of about 2.5 kpc derived from star counts and independent estimates of the extinction the authors conclude that the nebula and its HVCs are galactic halo objects.
