The 7 October 1981 occultation of SAO 187124 by 88 Thisbe was observed
at 12 sites. The occultation observations, together with information
about the asteroid's light curve, give a mean diameter for Thisbe of 232
± 12 km. This value is 10% larger than the previously published
radiometric diameter of Thisbe.
