Astrometry: Lunar Lasser Ranging, Atmospheric Turbulence

Scientific paper

Based on the fact that the returned photon numbers are few in Lunar Laser Ranging in Yunnan Observatory 1.2m telescope and the idea that effects of atmospheric turbulence should be considered, the two algorithms, absolute difference and cross correlation, are investigated. Programs are built and tested by sun data and are applied to lunar data. The atmospheric tip-tilt is computed in different conditions, the best algorithm is selected.
