In the cat's eye optical path length compensation system, the output
beam is deflected and distorted because of the defocus of the small
mirror and the tilt of the carriage. The amount of the deflection and
wavefront distortion has been analysed. Given the loss of fringe
visibility, the tolerances of defocus and tilt have also been obtained.
