Direct evidence is presented which shows that the so-called Gamma Cyg radio source contains several unrelated components. The nebula nearest to the star is a typical H II region whose probable exciting star is discussed. The nonthermal part contains several long extended filaments with very steep intensity gradients. These filaments are part of a large supernova remnant. There is no physical relation between the radio components and the star, Gamma Cyg. Upper limits to the radio emission of the star are given. Attention is drawn to a point source with a peculiar spectrum.
