Quasars: Cosmology, Universe: Density Fluctuations

Scientific paper

The dependence of quasars spatial two-point correlation function ξqq at different redshifts on the initial power spectrum in flat cosmological models is investigated. It is supposed that quasars and other elements of large-scale structure of the universe are formed in peaks of density fluctuations of the scalar Gaussian field of appropriate scales. Quasars are considered as short-term active phase in the centre of these fluctuations which started from the moment of appearance of the dark matter counterflows and the shock wave in the gas. The method of calculation of correlation function ξqq is proposed and it is shown that its amplitude and inclination depend on the form of the initial power spectrum and the scale R of fluctuations, in which quasars are formed.
