The author presents photoelectric BV photometry of UV Lyn made in 1994. The light curves show obvious asymmetry with the Max. I brighter than the Max. II and the period is found to be increasing slowly at a rate of 1.365×10-2sec/yr. The light curves along with that of UV Lyn obtained in 1981 published by Markworth and Michaels were analyzed using the Wilson-Devinney method with spot approximation. A refined mass ratio of 0.512 is derived for the system. It is found that UV Lyn is a contact system with probable chromospheric activity. The result suggests that there are probably two cool spots located on the surface of the secondary component and their presence can reproduce the asymmetry of the light curves.
