THE COMPARISON OF SHOCK EFFECTS IN NATURALLY AND EXPERIMENTALLY DEFORMED CLINOPYROXENE. Kotelnikov S., Feldman V. - Moscow State University, Russia. Juk A. - High Density Research Centre of Russian Academy of Science. The study of shock effects in clinopyroxene to 45 GPa has been carried out. The comparison of shock alteration in the mineral deformed in nature and in experiments indicates that in the last case, the most effects, namely the planar deformation, the change of the angle of optical axes and lattice parameters, show usually either weaker or differently than in nature. However, the pressure dependencies of (310) X-rays peak intensity are close with each other and the approximating curve is a parabola.
