An optical spectroscopic investigation of the radio source 2021+614 is reported. The object is a narrow-line galaxy with redshift 0.2266 + or -0.0002 and with several radio properties similar to those of the unusual galaxy 0316+413. The large Balmer decrement and the highly reddened and inflected optical continuum spectrum indicate the presence of dust. The forbidden O III 5007 line profile of 2021+614 is clearly asymmetric and may be decomposed into two components with a velocity difference of about 780 km/s. The asymmetry can be interpreted either as due to internal large-scale motion of material or in terms of selective absorption by dust. The galaxy's radio luminosity of 10 to the 44th ergs/s between 10 to the 8th and 10 to the 11th Hz is the largest known for the nuclei of radio galaxies of Kuehr et al.'s (1981) complete sample of radio sources.
