CNES is pursuing its effort to develop the system and the various elements of its 2007 mission in cooperation with NASA with the Sample Return Mission as an objective. This paper will provide an overview of the architecture and of the main components of this mission. It will present the status of the various elements and also describe major design evolutions over the past year.
